Who Loves New Recipes?!

Today I want to give a shout out to my good friend Melissa and her (along with her husband, Heeyoung) new food blog, H&M kitchen!

They love finding new and interesting recipes to try and share, as well as, adapting recipes to put their own spin on things and coming up with original recipes to share. Here are just a couple listed on the blog so far:

Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus

Lemon Ricotta Pancakes
(I can't wait to make these!! Yum, yum, yum!)

On Saturdays they post a Simple Saturday recipe to help make cooking on the weekends that much easier. I already made this one for my son's birthday party and it couldn't have been easier:

Ravioli Lasagna

So, if you're a foodie or aspire to become one, hop on over to Melissa's awesome blog and check out all the other recipes she has to offer and don't forget to become a follower so you can check back daily!

Happy Friday!

Supper Clubs, Yay or Nay?

I've always wanted to be a part of a supper club. It sounds like so much fun being able to get together with friends and share new recipes!  I don't know anyone who's in one nor have I even heard anyone talk about a supper club.  I had no idea how to start one or who I would ask to join.  Then last month in Everyday Food magazine there was a small article about how to get one started. It was as though Martha Stewart was reading my mind! She really is amazing! Here is the article that I tore out of the magazine:

So, now I'm totally excited about getting one started! How hard can it be, right?  All I need to do is figure out which of my friends would be willing to join in and actually follow through with it.  That's actually harder to do than doing the planning and the cooking!! So many of my friends have young children and very busy schedules.

But, I like the idea of having a dinner once every couple of months. That way it won't be too overwhelming for most people or too much of a commitment that they end up backing out all the time. And now that we have Facebook, it will totally help keep the information flowing.

If anyone is part of a supper club and you has some pointers to steer me in the right direction, that would be great!  I think I'm gonna need all the help I can get in order to get it started! I'll be sure to keep you posted.

Halloween Treats

Last year we took little man out trick-or-treating to a few of our friends houses.  He was only 6 months old, so we really couldn't do  too much!  I didn't want to go empty handed, so I made some yummy treats for Hudson to deliver to our friends.

Mud Pie Cups
*Sorry about the bright flash.  This was before I was a blogger and we were in the car.

Ingredients:
Instant chocolate pudding (2 boxes made 8-10 treats)
Milk
Oreo cookies
Gummi worms

*There may be different recipes out there, but this is my version, and it's super simple.

Directions:
Prepare pudding according to package instructions.  Let set in refridgerator.

Place Oreo cookies in a gallon sized ziplock bag, seal, and crush with rolling pin.  Try to get the pieces as small as possible.

Get your containers ready and place a small amount of cookies crumbs into bottom of container.  I used clear plastic cocktail cups.

Then top with pudding leaving some room at the top for more cookie crumbs.

Layer more cookie crumbs evenly on top of pudding.

Add gummi worms as decoration!

Hudson last Halloween as a giraffe.  Wasn't he so cute?!

Here is where I'm linking up today:

Summer Lovin'

One of the best things about summer is sweet corn!  And we got some amazing sweet corn this weekend at the farmer's market.  We also got some yummy potatoes, cheddar cheese curds, eggs, and grass fed beef.  I love the farmer's market!
